Full-scope kitchen refits — plumbing, electrics, plastering, tiling, flooring, cabinets and worktops handled by one accountable team, on a written day-by-day schedule.
Kitchen Renovation & Refurbishment — the honest overview.
What it is
Kitchen renovation is the full refit of your kitchen — usually including layout changes, new services, structural work like wall removal, and a full replacement of cabinets, worktops and appliances. It's the biggest single change you can make to how a house lives.
Who it's for
Homeowners in Bexley, Bromley, Dartford and Kent who've outgrown their current kitchen, opened up a wall, extended, or are simply done pretending the current one works.
When you need it
Renovate when the layout no longer fits how you cook and entertain, when you're extending and integrating an old kitchen won't work, or when cabinets and appliances are beyond economic repair.
Why professional matters
A kitchen renovation touches more trades than any other room — structural, plumbing, electrical, gas, plastering, flooring, joinery, tiling, decorating. Doing it with one accountable team is the difference between a smooth six-week job and a chaotic three-month one.
The cost of doing nothing — or doing it cheaply.
A kitchen renovation with the wrong team is the most expensive way to buy the same problems in nicer packaging.
Risks & consequences
- Sub-contractor gaps: plumber leaves before the electrician arrives; nobody owns the boundary between them.
- Ordering timeline slips: cabinets delivered before the room is ready, or worktops templated off the wrong dimensions.
- Structural work done without proper calcs — expensive to unpick later, dangerous to live under.
- Budget creep from verbal quotes and undocumented variations.
Common mistakes homeowners make
- Starting the renovation before design is fully signed off — every mid-project change is 3× the cost of an on-paper one.
- Splitting trades between multiple providers to save money — you save on labour and lose on coordination.
- Underestimating the impact on daily life — a written schedule protects your sanity as much as your budget.

What actually goes into the work.
A renovation is really a project-management job wearing overalls. Here's how we manage it so you don't have to.
Design and specification
We start with how you live: how many cooks, how you shop, what you never use in your current kitchen. From that comes layout, then storage, then aesthetics — not the other way round. Every drawing is signed off before order.
Structural work
Load-bearing walls come out only with certified calcs, correctly-sized steels and Building Control notification. We coordinate the structural engineer, the steel supplier and the Building Control sign-off — you don't chase anyone.
Services and utilities
Gas connections are handled by a Gas Safe engineer where we're not directly qualified. Electrics are to Part P, water to current regs. Underfloor heating, boiling-water taps and induction supplies are sized correctly before install.
Cabinets, worktops and appliances
Cabinets are fitted before worktop templating. Templates go to the stone supplier, install is coordinated to the day. Appliances are commissioned by us or by the supplier's engineer where the warranty requires it.
Flooring, tiling and decoration
Flooring choice is coordinated with the cabinet plinth height so nothing sits proud. Splashback tiling is set out from hob and sink centre lines. Painting and decorating close out the room so you walk into a finished space, not a checklist.
Handover and aftercare
Bound folder of appliance manuals, warranty cards, worktop care instructions, paint codes and tile codes for future touch-ups. Snag-fix window built into the contract.
